VACANCY FOR DATA ANALYST

The St Stephen’s Centre for Advanced Learning (SCAL) is looking for a Data Analyst on contractual basis to support new initiatives from the Centre.

The ideal candidate must be qualified with at least a Masters in Data Science and some industry experience. Internships will also be accepted.  The candidate must be self-driven and competent enough to design, work on and complete projects within indicated deadlines. Knowledge and experience in using Python, R, C and C++ is essential. The candidate must be familiar with all aspects of data analysis including data collection, mining, cleaning, visualization, model-building and cross-validation. The candidate should be able to use relevant machine learning algorithms effectively. Some knowledge and exposure to Cybersecurity is essential; certification will be an added advantage.

Communication skills in English, both oral and written, must be very good and knowledge of Hindi will be an advantage.

The position is contractual for a three-year period with the possibility for extension if the candidate proves to be competent and committed. Remuneration will be attractive and will be based on qualifications and experience.

For each subject there is a Society that sponsors extra-curricular lectures and discussion and, in general, tries to stimulate interest in the subject. There are many other academic and cultural society and clubs covering wide range of activities, such as debating, dramatics, mountaineering, film and music appreciation, social service, photography and electronics.
