About the Society:-
The Civil Services Forum, St. Stephen’s College was founded in 2013 by Mr. Krishnan Bishnoi (IPS), an alumnus, with a visionary goal of uniting like-minded students who are dedicated to fostering an informed and educated civil society. This initiative also aimed to streamline the preparation for the Civil Services Examination (CSE) within and beyond the college community. Over the years, this spirit of commitment has been consistently maintained, contributing to the enrichment of the college’s dynamic academic environment.

Concluded Events:-
1) Colloquium: 17th-19th April 2023
This event marked the official culmination of the academic year 2022-23 for CSF and featured an Inter-College Quiz competition, a Panel Discussion on Contemporary India’s Defence and Diplomacy Landscape, and a Talk Session with Mr. Armstrong Pame, IAS as the Closing Lecture.
The Colloquiz, covering various domains of the UPSC CSE syllabus, turned out to be a huge success with the participation of more than 70 students from 11 colleges in Delhi. The enriching Panel Discussion featured Amb. Amarendra Khatua, Lt Gen. Vinod Khandare, and Prof Amitabh Mattoo as esteemed panelists and Ms Ayushi Ketkar as the moderator and witnessed a footfall of 250+ students. In the Talk Session, Mr. Pame inspired 100+ participants to find an aim in life through his real world experiences.
2) UPSC Strategy Session: October 5. 2023
The Civil Services Forum hosted a strategic session titled “How Do We Start – Laying the Foundation of an Aspirant’s Journey” as part of its Inaugural Talk. The event saw a participation of over 140 community members who gained valuable insights from the speakers, Mr. Prashant Sharma and Mr. Abhishek Mishra. The discussion revolved around the psychology of an aspirant, preparation tips, soft skills required for interviews, and concluded with an activity on identifying pertinent articles in a newspaper.
3) Expert-Moderated Group Discussion: October 12. 2023
The Civil Services Forum hosted a Group Discussion session moderated by Mr. Amit Poddar, a renowned specialist in Group Discussions and Personal Interviews. This event was an enriching experience for all participants. The discussion revolved around two thought-provoking topics:
- “India Needs More Bullock Carts than Motor Cars” – A unique perspective on sustainable transportation and the future of mobility in India.
- “Government Has No Business to Be in Business” – The role of the government in the entrepreneurial lobby and business sector.
3) ICWA Sapru House Visits: September-October 2023
The Civil Services Forum was privileged to represent the college at the Indian Council of World Affairs twice in the odd semester.
September 27th 2023: Panel Discussion titled “India-Cuba Relations: Present Trajectory and Way Forward” to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Fidel Castro’s visit to India with chief guest H.E. Mr. Alejandro Simancas Marin (Ambassador of Cuba to India).
October 4th 2023: Lecture by H.E. Raquel Pena, Vice President, the Dominican Republic on the two nations as Natural Partners.
