Delhi University Inter College October 2015
The college team was seeded directly in the Quarter final round of the Inter College Competition based on last year’s performance. In the Quarter final League the team had to play three games. Their results are as given below:
1st Match Jesus and Mary College
2nd Match Maitreyi College
3rd Match Lady Shri Ram College
The team was unable to register a win any of the League Matches.
St Stephen’s College Invitational Basketball Tournament 17 March – 22 March 2016
In the group matches, the college team opened their account by posting a comfortable win against Kirori Mal Delhi College but moved on to another lost against Ramjas College. With two wins the Women’s team secured a place in the Semi Final.
However in the Semi Finals, the college team lost ground against Lady Shri Ram College, Delhi.
The Championship was claimed by Shri Ram College of Commerce, who beat Lady Shri Ram College in the finals with the score line: 25 – 14.
BASKETBALL (Men)
The college is proud of the efforts of the Basketball team that played in different tournament all through the year. The team practiced regularly in college almost on a daily basis preparing for the different tournaments through the year.

Shivendra Singh of M.A Philosophy, Previous, who was selected as a member of the Delhi University Team, that took part in the North Zone Inter Varsity Basketball Tournament.
Shivendra Singh of M.A (Previous), Philosophy, also spearheaded the college’s campaign as he was a member of the Delhi University Basketball Men’s Team that took part in the All India Inter Varsity Basketball Championships.
The St Stephen’s College (Men’s) team took part in the following competitions this year:
The YMCA Invitational Basketball Championships were held in October 2015, at the YMCA Sports Arena, Jai Singh Road, New Delhi. The College team reached the 3rd round of the competition.
SRCC Alumni Basketball Tournament in November 2015 held in the Indoor Basketball Arena at League.
Delhi University Inter College December 2015
The college team started their campaign on a winning note against Sri Venkateshwara College and continued their good run against the sports college, IGIPESS till the second round of the knock outs.
However, the absence of key players three key players on the team due to injury, like Captain – Zoravar Jamwal, Vice Captain – Reuben and Senior player like Bhupender Rathee put a dent in the team’s progress as they were eliminated by Hindu College in a closely fought match. With this loss, the team was eliminated from the competition.
In the KMC Invitational Basketball Tournament held in Jan 2016, the college team was eliminated in the initial group stages of the competition.
In the LSR Invitational Basketball Tournament Feb 2016 held at Lady Shri Ram College the college team won their opening fixture against Ram Lal Anand College. However, the team was eliminated in the 2nd round.
The college team took part in the SRCC Invitational Basketball Tournament, in Feb 2016 but could not progress past the group stages of the tournament.

In the group matches, the college team register wins against Dr Zakir Hussain Delhi College and moved on to post another win against Moti Lal Nehru College.
However in the Semi Finals, the college team lost ground against Ramjas College, Delhi.
The Championship was claimed by Hansraj College, who beat Ramjas College in the finals with the score line: 64 – 41.
